Hi,

When I try to install the .msi, it says I do not have VS2008. I actually have VC++ 2008 Express.

Is this sufficient and is there a way to nudge the install along?

So I'm contemplating on moving to 2010, but I'm also a big fan of this tool. Are there any plans on releasing a version supporting 2010?

The main page here or in the Visual Studio gallery makes no mention that this tool doesn't support native languages (i.e. C++), only .NET languages. This needs to be called out more clearly to avoid disappointment.

Source outliner is not working properly for 100+ lines of code files, it shows "Updating, please wait" message. But nothing happens even after some time.

It works perfectly with small files.

I'm using VS2008 Pro SP1.

Ah, but it does. But if you are working on a program that had 10K+ lines of code dedications to VS2008, it's hard to transfer it over.

I get the same thing. This plugin doesn't seem to do anything useful for C++. Which is sad because I am going nuts trying to use Visual Studio 2008 after being so spoiled using Eclipse.

Here are a few suggestions I believe would make this plugin even better.

Allow drag and drop in the tree view to reorder your source code.
Show text or icons to indicate whether properties are read or read/write
Show visibility icons for properties (private, protected, public, etc)
Show the name of the inherited class next to the class names in the list

I love the Source Outliner window, but I'm not a big fan of the colored lines this power toy adds to my code to indicate code blocks. Is there a way to turn these block indicators off?

After adding regions to a class, the outliner should visually represent those regions. I don't neccessarily mean in the form of tree hierarchy, but some sort of space|group|highlight would be cool.

Hi,
thanks for this great add-in, I've a suggesting for filtering:

entering more than one word would show everything containing both words
entering a word in all lower case filtering would not be case sensitive
entering a word containing upper case filtering would be case sensitive

To show only classes containing Foo: 'c foo' or 'foo c'
Classes and structs: 'c s foo'
Fields and properties: 'f p foo'

m for methods, i for interfaces etc.

If you like this idea I can send you a patch, play with it and then decide if you want to include it or not.

I've done a add-in doing something similar, I've used some of your work for it:
